There is a mild chill in the air, and Christmas lights are going up left and right. With the holiday spirit in mind, we've decided to revisit one of our winter inspired events that we planned and design a few years ago. After Thanksgiving, the debutant season is in full swing in Texas. This is a right of passage for many college age young women. Each girl has her own event in addition to her presentation ball. For this particular event, we completely decked out the San Antonio Country Club from top to bottom. We replaced chandeliers, draped hallways, and transformed the space into an ice palace in silver and white.
On either side of the entrance, we had 8' tall ice sculptures complimented by "iced" trees to give the guests a "chilly" and dramatic welcome into the event. These trees were also used throughout the event in various places. We paired hand wrapped metallic silver packages. We draped the entrance hallway with silver silk and replaced the club's chandeliers with custom made disco balls and feather chandeliers. Weight distribution and balancing these chandeliers was definitely a labor of love. These added glitz, glam and fun to the event as the guests had to pass through this hallway to get to the various rooms. Additionally, we decorated the stairwell up to the main ballroom with "ice" garland that was uplit to create a "cold and cool" effect. | When guests made it up the stairwell, they went into a ballroom draped in beautiful silver silk panels. White tables and chairs complimented the winter look perfectly. Guests absolutely loved the moving snowflake gobos as well. In between dancing, the guests walked over to a stunning food display in silver and white with a large silver stage on the top. It was a wonderful addition to the room. We hope you enjoyed this look into our version of a Winter Wonderland! |
