Blue skies and a beautiful view of the ocean set the mood for this destination wedding at The Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego in La Jolla, CA. Guests walked up through the museum's gardens and were greeted by lime green umbrellas with shells, moss, and succulents. A cork board display with shells and succulents provided the perfect backdrop for the guestbook. Cocktails were passed and a jazz trio had everyone enjoying the beautiful views. |
Guests were seated on the upper veranda for the ceremony overlooking the ocean. The couple were married by two of their closest friends in an intimate ceremony underneath a green silk canopy, accented with shells. Each guest received a purple paper fan in their chair to keep cool in the sun. Custom green ribbon with the couple's names and a tiny shell added the perfect detail to the fans. |
The reception was held inside of the museum amongst the stunning contemporary art and architecture. Green textured linens on square tables added a pop of color and texture. Purple and green florals with shells and succulents added a nod to the ocean vibe found outside. Bamboo place mats, shells with succulents, and bamboo napkin rings provided the prefect finishing touches to the tabletop. The bride chose to do multiple miniature cakes with different flavors and different floral and decor on each one in various shades of purple and green. The overall effect was absolutely charming. The favors for this event were individually packaged sets of pistachio and blackberry macarons, completed with a purple ribbon tied onto the box. Guests danced the night away, and the couple left in an array of bubbles. We invite you to take a look at more of the details below! |
